Anna Cannon
Anna Cannon was born in Invercargill in 1962 and has been writing music since age 13. Anna works full-time teaching music (piano, guitar, flute and theory) at her studio in Otatara, Invercargill.
A life-long learner Anna has engaged in study throughout her adult years and graduated from Massey University in 2012 and is currently studying at Otago University under Dr Anthony Ritchie. Anna writes music for her students and has four pieces accepted by the examination board of St Cecilia School of Music.
Anna is registered with the Institute of Registered Music Teachers in New Zealand, the St Cecilia School of Music and ANZCA. Anna is passionate about music education; a number of her music students now work as music teachers in New Zealand.
