Anna Tashkoff
Originally from West Auckland, Anna Tashkoff studied piano for several years from the age of seven, and began a study in classical and contemporary guitar at age 14. She relocated to Hamilton for the opportunity to study with leading professionals at the University of Waikato Conservatorium of Music.
She is currently studying towards the completion of a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Music and Psychology, with a chief focus on composition and computer music, and hopes to undertake postgraduate study in these areas. Her focus in musical performance includes showcasing her own compositions as well as performing as a vocalist in various choirs and in a contemporary rock band, for which she is also a founding member, composer, and recording producer.
Anna was awarded a Lilburn Trust Composition Award in 2013 (merit, electroacoustic section) from the University of Waikato for Revolutions: The Self for computer and iPad interface.
