Caitlin McAsey

Caitlin McAsey Caitlin McAsey is currently studying a Bachelor of Music, majoring in composition and in conjoint with Japanese, at the University of Auckland. She first started learning music at the age of 10 with the alto saxophone, and has since pursed a variety of brass and woodwind instruments.

After developing a passion for composition she has taken a prize for composition in the Auckland Chamber Music competition in 2013 and for the first time, the Lilburn Trust Composition Competition with her piece Kaiten. Caitlin plans to continue studying musical composition at a post graduate level.
