Eva Li
Eva Li was originally from China. She is currently finishing her Bachelor of Music degree at the University of Auckland majoring in composition, where she has studied with Associate Professor John Elmsly, Dr. Eve de Castro-Robinson and Dr. John Coulter.
From the beginning of 2009, Eva has developed a strong interest in composing electronic music. Her goal in composition is to write music that has the potential to speak to audiences and enable self-understanding. Eva will be continuing her postgraduate study next year at the University of Auckland in the area of Electroacoustic Music.
Other than composing music, Eva is passionate about music teaching. She has taught piano to people from a wide range of age groups at the Glenfield Music Centre for the last three years.
Eva was awarded a Lilburn Trust Composition Award (third place) in 2010 from the University of Auckland.
