Jason Long
Jason Long is a composer and sound artist from Christchurch. He has studied at the University of Canterbury under Dr Chris Cree Brown and Dr Gao Ping, and finished his Bachelor of Music degree with a year at the Utrecht Higher school of the Arts, the Netherlands.
With a number of his pieces performed internationally and with music released by organisations in Thailand, New Zealand, France and the USA, Jason is currently completing an honors degree at the University of Canterbury, and is looking towards starting a Masters degree in Tokyo in 2011 with a Japanese government scholarship.
Jason was awarded a Lilburn Trust Composition Award (first place) in 2010 from Canterbury University.
