Jennifer Spark
Jenny is a composer and music educator living in Hamilton, where she is currently finishing an honours degree in composition at Waikato University. She enjoys composing both acoustic and electroacoustic music and was recently awarded a Sir Edmund Hillary Scholarship and University Blues Award for her achievements in composition.
In 2011 Jenny travelled to New York for EMS11 (the Electroacoustic Music Studies Network Conference 2011) where she presented work on a collaborative visual music project she was part of with Dr. Lisa Perrott and Elizabeth De Vegt. In 2012 she hopes to continue on to a Masters in composition.
Jenny was awarded a Lilburn Trust Composition Award (joint first prize) in 2011 for This is Christopher from the University of Waikato.
