Jonathan Lane
Jonathan Lane has made music for much of his life, however, only recently has he begun to do so with any true direction. His decision to return to study towards a Graduate Diploma in Music at the University of Waikato has shown him another side to his passion and helped him understand the language that he spoke only in fragments previously.
He is interested in creating electroacoustic music using unconventional instruments and hopes to continue to explore the murky boundary between noise and sound as his studies draw to a close.
Jonathan won a Lilburn Trust Composition Award (First place) from the University of Waikato in 2021.
