Luka Reardon
Luka Reardon is a Christchurch-based artist, composer, and oboist originally from Diamond Harbour, Banks Peninsula. Her work includes notated compositions, graphic designs and audio-visual works, and is creating work designed to actively foster collaborative composer-performer relationships.
She currently studies composition and performance at the University of Canterbury School of Music. Prior to enrolling at the University of Canterbury in 2020, she worked as an illustrator and fine artist from a young age, studying design in 2019 before pursuing further expression through music.
She made her compositional debut in 2020 with her composition oscen (korimako) which was performed to high acclaim, and her works have since been performed and workshopped around New Zealand.
