Reilly Smethurst
Reilly Smethurst is a composer and a poet. In 2010, he studied Composition (Honours) at the University of Auckland and received the University’s Masters/Honours/PG Dip Scholarship.
In 2009, Reilly completed his Bachelors degree at the Queensland Conservatorium (Griffith University), where he was awarded the Music Technology Medal and was a member of the Griffith Honours College.
Since 2007, Reilly has composed acousmatic art, concert works, music for theatre, and sound installations. As a poet, Reilly made his publication debut in the September 2010 issue of Shot Glass Journal.
Reilly was awarded a Lilburn Trust Composition Award (fourth place) in 2010 from the University of Auckland.
