Sean Brennan
Sean is currently studying a composition degree at the New Zealand School of Music in Wellington.
His interest in music started at the age of ten when he began to learn the flute. He soon moved on to the piano where he stayed for all of high school. At the same time he was composing small scale solo piano pieces, and a number of short pieces for various duos and trios.
Since then Sean's interest in composition, and music in general, has grown. He has worked to broaden his compositional style with influences including Debussy, Chopin, Prokofiev, and Ravel.
Sean was awarded a Lilburn Trust Composition Special Mention in 2012 from the New Zealand School of Music for The Cheshire Cats, for clarinet duo.
